The Lean Competency System (LCS)

The Lean Competency System (LCS) is a qualifications framework used by organisations to support lean training and by practitioners to develop lean knowledge and skills.

LCS’s primary application is in accrediting organisations’ lean training, enabling them to issue Certificates of Lean Competency to learners. Organisations become accredited providing they meet accreditation criteria and are aligned to the LCS framework.

Holders of LCS Certificates can become Practitioner Members of the LCS community, which is a web based peer-to-peer learning and collaboration resource.

The LCS was created by the Lean Enterprise Research Centre, Cardiff University and has been adopted by private and public organisations internationally.
